The twin-engine Aero Commander, manufactured by Rockwell International, is known worldwide for the superior quality and engineering that went in to the design of the aircraft. It is an airplane highly regarded by pilots and operators alike.
We have standardized on the Aero Commander 500 B because it offers our customers an optimum combination of speed, load carrying ability, multi-engine safety, and ease of operation.
All of Central Air's cargo 500 B's have standardized cockpits, are IFR
certified, GPS equipped, are NEXRAD Radar and storm-scope equipped, and are
certified for flight in to known icing conditions.
In 1994, Central Air became the first private company, other than a manufacturer, to certify an airplane for flight in to known icing conditions with the TKS system.
